Happy Birthday Grandma

It was so fun to get us together for Grandma's 82nd Birthday. Not all were able to join us but those of us who were there had quite a great time.
Thanks everyone for taking time to come celebrate with us!

Ramdom....

I have gotten in this kick of hiking. I just love to be outside and get a little workout rather than in my dirty boring unfinished basement. So I have found a few friends who have found time to hike with me. We usually hike up to Timp Cave and back. WOW I am out of shape!

Every year I LOVE going to rodeo's, Aaron on the other hand....could do without. But he is so good and will go with me almost every year. This is our self portrait at the rodeo.

We took off one Saturday and went up into the Uintah Mountains and found a nice stream for Aaron to fish as I sat in my chair with my book. It was so nice to be out in the mountains again.

With one of my days off, my friend asked me if I wanted to go hiking with her and her three kids....she knows about my hiking kick.
Her kids did a GREAT job....I complained more than those kids. We had a great time and then went swimming to cool off (wash off) after the hike.

I just love little summer adventures! Can't wait for more to come!

U-turn

The week after I got home from Mexico I got to make a quick trip up to Idaho to be with my niece for her baptism. I just love being with family. I was just sad that Aaron was not able to join me for this trip.

We are so glad we had the chance to go to Mexico with the family. But very sad that it is over and that is what we had planned for our summer. Now it will just be small things like camping and 4 wheeling. Oh but I could go back there and LIVE!
We are just looking forward to summer actually arriving here in Utah.
This past weekend I was able to go to Boise for my nieces baptism and spend a quick visit with them. I miss those kids so much and need to visit them more so I can spend more time with them.
On my way home Sunday, I made a quick stop to see a good friend of mine. I am so glad she was so understanding of me just stopping for a quick visit and not making me feel bad for not making it longer. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend Amanda.
I hope to make it that direction more this summer. Oh there is so much I want to do! We will see what happens.

Mexico

What a chance of a live time. We were so thankful for mom and dad and the opportunity they gave us to go to Mexico with them. It was a lot of fun being able to spend time with the family and not have ANYTHING to stress about.
I just wish the whole family could have been there.

--Pictures say enough--

Thank you Dad and Mom for a wonderful vacation!

Still Alive

I know way back when I said I would update all this and yes, it has not happened yet.

Aaron and I have been doing well. We haven't done anything all that fun and exciting really this year. But believe you me....we have done A LOT of yard work. I have to admite, I hate the push in the spring to get things cleaned up but am so happy when it is done and it looks nice.

I made two quick last minute trips down to Phoenix in February and March. I hope next time I am there it will be a planned trip and a bit longer.

At the beginning of April I did take my sweet 5 yr old neice to a day spa to be pampered. Now that was fun to watch. She is such a little prinsess and just ate it up.
Later in April I did go to Idaho and meet up with an old roommate from my Ricks College days. She and I have always stayed in touch and had to get together for a little reunion. we were quite sad that the other roomies couldn't make it but she and I still had quite a bit of fun.

This past weekend we got to spend mothers day with both mothers. My mom came up and I got to spend lots of time with most of my family. I had a nephew that got baptized. It was a great time and fun to spend time with all of them. Then Aaron's parents came up with his two little neices. So we spent time with them as well. Hard to see everyone but some how we managed to do so this holiday.

In less than two weeks Aaron and I are joining my parents and a few of my siblings in Mexico for a week. I am so excited for some sun, warm weather, reading, relaxation and adventure.
Yes Yes, I will do my best to update the blog when we get home. But really, don't hold your breath....ha ha!
