Our New Toy

So we justified buying this toy but I guess we are a few months late. And watch we won't get the snow next year like with did this year. But yes we have added a 4wheeler to our family. We were able to go down to Monroe and try it out with Aaron's parents. Yes it was a lot of fun but I have a husband who totally knows what he is doing but can still get quite a scare out of me. Boy he was trying everything to get that thing stuck and try out all the bells and whistles on it. No luck getting it to stuck, the thing works to well. And I even got to drive it, yes I was MUCH more timed than Aaron was.

So then this is what

I wake up to this morning......
but as you can tell there wasn't enough for
him to get on that new toy of his and plow....
we will wait til next year. I HOPE!
I am so ready for Spring!

For all you in Phoenix, will you please send Spring our way--PLEASE!

True Friends

You know it's amazing to go home to Phoenix and to see so many friends and to know that they really do care about you and no matter what has happened between us we can still call each other friends. I went home with my grandmother for my spring brake. It's nice when you have a boss that takes time off when his kids have time off. Yes its a lot of time and the pay check stink, but it's so nice to be able to have sometime to do things you want to do. I was able to have dinner with some girls from high school, lunch with a high school friend and spend a few minutes talking to some other high school friends while I was at a church function. No matter if we had hours to talk or just a minute, it was so good to reconnect with them all and to know that I have friends back home that I love seeing and catching up with. Now that most of us have jumped on this "blogger-wagon" it will be so much easier to feel apart of each of their lives and know what is happening with their lives and growing families. No matter which way our lives take us, I still feel a closeness with all the girls I was able to see and visit with. Thank you all for being such great friends and taking time out of your busy lives to see me and get together with others. I really do cherish the friendships that I have even though we are miles apart. PLEASE feel free to come visit anytime....with your family or just yourself. I love having visitors. I have made some great friends since I have moved up here to Utah but I know that I will always have true friends from back in high school. Is that not amazing, as I look back at my time in high school, we had our rough times and our petty little girl fights but you know what, we have gotten past that and we are still great friends. It's just wonderful to know that we can forgive and forget and move on. I do have to say that I wish I would have taken more photos with the friends that I got to see. Pictures are priceless. Thank you all for being such great friends! I love you all girls!

I was able to spend sometime with my sister and her family on the way to and from Phoenix. It had been about 6 months since I had seen them and I am so happy I got to see them. They are such a fun and cute family. My niece and nephew finally got me to see high school musical which I had never seen. It is a cute movie, the part I saw. We didn't watch it all cause those poor kids were quite tiered. It was fun being able to see them play soccer and see how much they have learned. I love you kids!

Ready to Ride

That is right, spring is TRYING to begin and I just wish that it would try harder. I am so ready for it. Last weekend I was in Phoenix and it was WONDERFUL! Nice and warm and spring feeling. I guess I will get to experience spring twice this year, once it hits Utah.
But you best believe it we are ready to get out there and enjoy the nice weather.
The motorcycle has had its makeover and we are ready for a nice ride.
Here are the before and after pictures of the bike. Yeah not a huge difference to most but we sure like it.

Yes Phoenix was GREAT! I got to see a lot of friends that I haven't seen in YEARS. I went down for a reunion with friends from the other ward that I hung out with the most. And I didn't take one picture that night. That makes me sad. But I know others did and I have seen them and they are great! Thanks Gary--Party Planner.
I did get to see some friends that I used to work with and we have our ritual every time I come into town. Yes Macayo's is my all time favorite Mexican resterant . I just wish Utah had them.
Well I hope that you all are doing well and are as excited about spring like I am.
Take care!

over due update....

Life has been full of fun since I have updated, ummm lets see, 7 months ago. NO NO NO there is not an expected baby. You know me, I would have posted that for sure.

First of all we were able to spend a week in Yellowstone with Aaron's family back in June. You know Aaron would live there if he could. Yes we have talked about being park rangers when we get older....not about going on a mission. He just loves the outdoors.

We also went got to spend time with my sister and her family up in Beaver at their condo. Once again Aaron was totally in his element....nothing better than being in the mountains fishing and getting dirty. It's fun to see my niece and nephews love being outside and fishing.

From there we were able to continue over the mountain to his parents house and continue or fishing adventure. Now we have to go hiking first to get where we are going to fish when we go with Aaron's father. Its always an adventure with him.

We have done a few benefit rides for things like Make a Wish Foundation as well as Ride for Life--cancer rides. It is always fun to get out and ride on a nice day. Not all of our rides have been on nice beautiful days. This one was a wonderful day. It was the Ride for Life. It was totally cool. They blocked off State St. in Salt Lake City and the fire truck raised the flag that we all road under on our way out. Then the roads were all blocked off for the first 5 miles or so. Makes you feel important.

We made a trip down to Phoenix in August for Scott's farewell. It was fun to be able to spend time with him and the rest of the family before he left. He is now serving in Veracruz Mexico and is doing very well.

On our way home Aaron and I took our time and saw some places in Southern Utah that he nor I have seen. We went to Goblin Valley and that is a really cool area. A place to go back to NOT in August. It was way hot. They were filming a movie there when we stopped and we ate lunch just down from where they were shooting. It was quite interesting.

Then we--okay I decided that we were going to go up the canyon one night after work and take photos in the fall leaves. I just love the seasons up here and love being so close to the mountains.

Oh but the most updates are not done yet....but I am done for the night, but is my update for a long time of not updating. I hope that I will not let it go this long again.

much needed update....

You know I had mix feelings about doing this blog thing....mainly cause i just wasn't sure if I would actually keep it updated. And as you can all tell....it was true.

Things here have still been going well, a lot of the same ol' things of every day life. But we do try and get out to do a few fun things. Just this past week we went down to Phoenix for my youngest brothers mission farewell. That was a fun time. It was quite warm but we were able to find that pool quite fast and spent a LOT of time in there.

We took our time going down there and back, well not as much time as I would have liked but it wasn't a straight drive either.

We drove down through Zions and camped just outside of there in the back of the truck--who needs a tent. Then on the way home we went through Tuba City, Monument Valley (in the dark, we will have to go back and see what it's really all about.) also went to Natural Bridges, Goblin Valley and then through San Refael Swell. A lot of country that I have not seen and it's been quite a long time for Aaron. We would have loved to have spent more time and done a few hikes but the time didn't permit--neither did the weather. I just do not do good in the heat.

We are going to be going down to Zions again later this month to do a little hiking, repelling and whatever else comes our way. So I will have to be on top of it this time and get an update done soon after.

Oh and one more thing.....it's been quite a while since this all happened but it was A LOT OF FUN! This is a picture of my friend Missy and I at the Kenny Chesney consert when he came to Salt Lake at the end of June. It was so much fun and we had a great girls night. But I do have to say it's a bit different being a married woman on a girls night....but still so much fun!

Updates

Well as you all know, I am not the best about keeping in touch and updating people on our life. So I thought I would try what a lot of you are doing and try this blog thing.

So lets see if I can figure out how this thing works.

First off, I am sure that you all know, well I think you all know that Aaron and I got married in Januray of 2006. Yep, it's been a year and a half....long time. We have had a lot of good times since we have been married. One of our biggest excitments and adventures is we were able to sale our old house and buy a new house. Okay our Biggest excitement.....and boy has that been enough. We have been able to repaint to whole inside, recapet the whole house and Aaron retiled the master bathroom. That is one project I stayed out of. I am still working on trying to get the yard looking good and get the house decorated, both coming VERY slowly.

Well I am going to call it quits on this one and see how I post this since I have my professional Blog coach over here and I can get it done.
More updates to come......
