Still Alive

I know way back when I said I would update all this and yes, it has not happened yet.

Aaron and I have been doing well. We haven't done anything all that fun and exciting really this year. But believe you me....we have done A LOT of yard work. I have to admite, I hate the push in the spring to get things cleaned up but am so happy when it is done and it looks nice.

I made two quick last minute trips down to Phoenix in February and March. I hope next time I am there it will be a planned trip and a bit longer.

At the beginning of April I did take my sweet 5 yr old neice to a day spa to be pampered. Now that was fun to watch. She is such a little prinsess and just ate it up.
Later in April I did go to Idaho and meet up with an old roommate from my Ricks College days. She and I have always stayed in touch and had to get together for a little reunion. we were quite sad that the other roomies couldn't make it but she and I still had quite a bit of fun.

This past weekend we got to spend mothers day with both mothers. My mom came up and I got to spend lots of time with most of my family. I had a nephew that got baptized. It was a great time and fun to spend time with all of them. Then Aaron's parents came up with his two little neices. So we spent time with them as well. Hard to see everyone but some how we managed to do so this holiday.

In less than two weeks Aaron and I are joining my parents and a few of my siblings in Mexico for a week. I am so excited for some sun, warm weather, reading, relaxation and adventure.
Yes Yes, I will do my best to update the blog when we get home. But really, don't hold your breath....ha ha!

Vacation with Grandma

This past month I had the chance to go on a vacation with my grandmother. And we had quite a bit of fun!
We started off the trip by arriving in Florida. We were there for 3 days. One day we drove down through Miami on the A1A "beach front avenue" (did anyone get that?) Anyhow, and then we went on down the Florida Keys. We stopped off in Key Largo (the first of the keys)and had lunch at a cute little place right on the water.
We then continued on down the keys and went through Islamorada and then Marathon. That is where we turned around and headed back to our hotel cause it was getting late and couldn't see much in the dark.

I would go down there again and I would LOVE to do it on the motorcycles.

We were then able to find a ward to attend for sacrament on Easter Sunday! It's always so different going to church where you are not used to.

Then on Monday we boarded the Carnival Imagination for our 4 day cruise!

First stop....Key West!
Before we got off the ship Tuesday morning, Grandma took a moment to soak up a little bit of the suns rays.

In Key West we went on a little "train" tour of the town. A quick way to see the places you go.

The next day was a fun filled day in Cozumel. We spent our time and went to Talum for a tour of the Mayan Ruins.

The last day was a nice and relaxing day at sea. I have not been on a crises where I have had a day at sea. I spent it out on the deck getting a little bit of color. We had a great time on the cruise.

After getting off the ship we drove up to a Ranch that the Church owns and were able to take a tour there. The next day we were able to go to the Kennedy Space Center and see a small protion of it. It is a huge place and didn't have time to do much of it at all.
We had a great time and it was a lot of fun to be able to spend a week with Grandma! Thank you Grandma!

Drew and Kerri's Wedding

In December, my brother Drew (who is the one just younger than me, well 7 years younger) got married to Kerri. They were married in the New Port Beach, CA temple. Oh how nice it was to warm up for a few days. It was a quick trip for Aaron and I but we are so glad that we were able to be there.

The night before the wedding Drew and Kerri decided for the "Wedding Lunchon" to have a bonefire on the beach and eat In and Out Burgers. It was so not the traditional wedding lunchon but it was a lot of fun. By the end of the night, my neices and nephews were totally wet from playing in the ocean. It was just fun to be able to have a very relazing "get to know you" party.

Then the wedding, went off without any problems. Everything was so beautiful. From the bride down to the weather. The reception was at Kerri's sisters house and they did an amazing job with the decorations and all.
Congratulations Drew and Kerri!

DisneyWorld

That is right, back in November we were invited to join a few of Aaron's cousins and their families in Disney World for a week. We decided to join them and had so much fun. We were able to hit most the parks...Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom (our two favorite) MGM, and Epcot. Yes we really did enjoy the Animal Kingdom and everything in there. SOOO much to see.
We tried to watch the space shuttle launch off, we were told you could see it from all over, just how big it was would have been the thing. So we decided to stay at the house and watch it. But right before the launch, it got quite overcast and started raining soooo....We weren't able to see it. We could see a little light though the clouds but really, we didn't see it. Very sad! Not often are you in Florida to see a shuttle launch. Okay well I'm not there often.
But really we had a great time and had great company!
Thanks for the invite Judson's!

Twilight

That is right, even thought I just finished New Moon, I did join a few of my friends for the midnight showing of Twilight!
I have to say, I really enjoyed the movie, even though I have only seen it once. I would love to see it again though.

After staying up til 2:15am the youngers of the group including one adult (Leslie) were up for going to IHOP! It made for a late night, but a fun one! One I won't forget!
